December 2007

I have finished a book dummy for a story which I am trying to have published. It is entitled Zachary and Abigail and it's about a boy and his favorite person in the whole world: his big sister. You can see a few sketches from the book in the sketchbook section of this website.

I am also working on some commissioned paintings for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I plan to illustrate a fun adventure for each one. They will be set in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and South America.

In January I will start work on a picture book written by a San Francisco writer, Christine Gardner. This sweet story is about an active, imaginiative, little girl who might benefit from a day off.

April 2007

Whew! I finally finished the Easter book and I am getting ready for an exhibit I have opening at Stanford on April 27.

Feb-March 2007

I have been working hard on illustrations for a book by Charlotte Anderson of Dallas, Texas. It's about her family Easter celebration and it has lots of fun scenes of children and ducklings and bunnies, flowers and butterflies and lots of family members in the garden, Easter bonnets, beautiful tables set for lunch, one wild egg hunt and a whole lot more!

November 2006

Here Comes Albert! is now available in print! This funny story is about a boy who brings home a pet alligator and the complications which follow. I was very pleased to create a lively cover for this book. You may purchase a copy through Amazon.com.

Thanks to all the people who came to my Open Studio event! It was a great success for me and I really appreciate all of the positive feedback I recieved. I have begun work on some commissioned illustrations which are due at the end of the month.

Also, I have begun work on a whole new set of paintings which will be shown at Stanford Art Spaces from April 27 through July 5. More information on that opening later.

August 2006

This summer has been fairly productive for me. I had the opportunity to do a book cover for a story book entitled "Here Comes Albert." Which is in the gallery -- the boy and alligator jumping into the pond together. I also produced illustrations for a series of library posters "Reading is Magic" which will be put up in many school libraries (I hope.) this fall. Many of those are in the gallery too.
